JOIN THE MOVEMENT!
Beloved I wish above all things that you prosper and BE IN HEALTH, even as your soul (MIND, WILL and emotions) prospers.
3 John 2 (emphasis by author)
And God said, Behold I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is upon the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food.
Genesis 1:29 (ASV)
We have been challenged by our own spiritual leaders, Bishop Daniel Robertson Jr, and Apostle Leroy Thompson Sr. to BE IN HEALTH! We are challenged to consider the wisdom and common sense of our eating habits. OUCH! It steps on everybody’s toes. My sisters, YOU are encouraged to take charge of your health and well-being. Your health is connected to what you are eating and how fast you are getting rid of the waste.
Assimilation and elimination are 2 focus areas of insight into your health.
- Assimilation- gathering the nutrients from what you eat for use in your body
- Elimination- getting rid of waste and undigested food
So what’s the movement I’m personally challenging you to have or consider today? A Bowel Movement! Yup, 3 times a day! We need to focus on good elimination from the colon.
Ask yourself this question: How often do I have a bowel movement in a week?
- 1-2 times per week
- Every other day
- Three times per day
Common sense for consideration: How often does a baby have a bowel movement? …They can barely finish the meal sometimes before they poop; it’s in and out. How often do little children have a bowel movement? Typically 30 minutes -2 hours after their meal. So what’s happening between early childhood to adolescence and adulthood?
Tim Morrow, one of the herbalist and nutrition gurus Apostle Thompson has encouraged us to YouTube and listen to, would suggest these are reasons for constipation:
- Fast Food/Processed foods
- The Whites- White flour, white bread, white pasta, white rice, white sugar
- Dehydration from inadequate water intake
- Lack of exercise
So how backed up are you? Where’s all that food you’re eating going? How much waste can the colon store? The intestine is composed of the small intestine (~20-23 feet) and the large intestine (~5 feet) and the rectum. The small intestine absorbs most of the nutrients from what we eat or drink. The large intestine absorbs water from waste, creating stool. As stool enters the rectum, nerves there create the urge to defecate. About 80% of your immune system is located in your digestive tract.
TESTIMONY OF CHANGE: Here is a fellow church member who has embraced some health changes encouraged by our leaders, and she is willing to share her testimony.
Doris Green, 53 years young, female
Q: What was your herbal start up plan?
A: Herbs ordered per Tim Morrow’s website – commonsenseherbs.com
“SuperLax colon cleanser” – relieves bloating, gas and constipation and relieves the digestive system
“Weight Control & Maintenance Program” – cleanses and rebuilds, provides a boost, balance and energy, cellular detoxification. It’s a natural source of vitamins and minerals.
‘FF II Female Hormone Support”- relieves hot flashes and night sweats, dislodging fibroid tumors, maintains a balance in the hormone levels.
“Ultra Relief” – helps control joint discomfort, temporary relief of minor aches, and reduces nerve inflammation.
Q: So how often did you have a bowel movement before starting the SuperLax, and after starting?
A: I had a daily movement. After the SuperLax I go after every time I eat, and it doesn’t take very long either.
Q: How long did it take to work?
A: Within a few days. By a week, I could really feel the difference.
I had a constant pain in both of my feet. With the herbs about week and a half later, I noticed my foot pain wasn’t there anymore. It hasn’t gone completely away, but it’s nothing like it used to be. My feeling in my spirit is that my body is truly correcting itself. The herbs made me increase my intake of water. I stopped craving juices and sweets. Also, after we started the herbs, we started juicing at least twice per week.
Q: What’s been most encouraging to you about hearing these messages on health?
A: That we don’t have to be sick. Everything we need truly does come from the ground. I encourage everyone to just try it! I was ready for a change. I was tired of feeling tired and sluggish. Get on a program that works for you. Just go for it!
Ladies, I pray something shared will encourage you to take the leap of faith, and embrace the movement – 3 soft, non-strenuous bowel movements per day. Divinely align ourselves with Gods desire for us to be healthy, free from pain, sickness, and disease. This requires our participation! Accept the challenge to partner with the Great Physician, Jesus Christ. CHANGE takes revelation, time, and wisdom! Eating to LIVE is a patient journey that requires self-re-education on your body, health, nutrition and awareness of modern day food handling.
